On June 2, 1966, George was united in marriage to Ronda Oliver in Denver, Colorado. The couple made McCook their home and soon welcomed their four daughters. George worked as a Master Drywaller in McCook and the surrounding communities for over fifty years.
George was a proud father and grandfather. He was a longtime member of Peace Lutheran Church and was a man of strong faith.
George was surrounded by his family when he passed away at his home in McCook on Monday evening, October 23, 2023. He was 83 years of age.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandsons, Shannon Pierce and Clayton Pierson; brothers, Lawrence and Dale Wurm; and a sister, Wynemah Cox.
Those left to carry on his memory are his wife of 57 years, Ronda of McCook; four daughters; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; as well as two sisters.
Funeral services were October 30, 2023 at Peace Lutheran Church in McCook. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery of McCook will follow services.
