Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Redding Cemetery for Everett Ronald Bateman, 61, of Redding, who died Thursday at his home of natural causes. McDonald's Redding Chapel is handling arrangements.
Bateman, a retired machinist who moved to Shasta County three months ago, was born Aug. 20, 1913, in Ingraham, Ill. He leaves his widow, Ruby; his son, Mancell; three daughters, Virginia Canfield, Maxine Kilgallan, and Mrs. Neftal Zeitler; two sons, Paul with the U.S. Navy in Spain and Douglas of Anchorage, Alaska; three brothers; six sisters; and nine grandchildren.
