Miss Ida Barker, age 23, died at Mr. McKibben's, on Thursday of last week, with softening of the brain. She was buried from the Castetter House in Julesburg, Rev. Hungsford of the Methodist church officiating.
The late Miss Barker came from Fairmount, West Virginia, about a year ago and lived at the Castetter House until the death of her sister, which occurred some six months ago.
Miss Barker had a claim about four miles south of Holyoke, and had expected to teach school in the same district the coming year. Her mother was the only relative present. The case has excited the most profound sympathy throughout the entire commmunity.
