He married Essie (Brown) Yaden on June 26, 1954 at the Johnson County Courthouse, in Franklin Indiana. Together during their 65 years of marriage, they fostered hundreds of children instilling faith and hard work in each of them. He was an ordained minister and pastored Whiteland, Salem, and Youngscreek Missionary Baptist Churches in Johnson County, Indiana and Yosemite Baptist Church in Casey County, Kentucky. He was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Franklin, Indiana. He enjoyed spending time with family, traveling with his wife, Essie, and three daughters, renovating properties, farming and making others laugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtle and Flex Yaden; stepmother, Ida Yaden; sister, Maxine (Yaden) Wilson; six brothers, Vernon Yaden, Roy Yaden, Curtis Yaden, Kenneth Yaden, Paul Yaden, Lancer Yaden, and his wife, Essie Yaden.
He is survived by his brother, Jerry (Doris) Yaden; three biological daughters, Glenda (Kenneth) Yaden Gilbert, Brenda (Bobby) Yaden Ralph, Sherry (Robert) Yaden Matthews; grandchildren, April Phillips, Andrea (Randy Phillips) Blackwell, Bob (Mandy) Ralph, Rachel (Reggie) Jackson. Laura Elijah, Mary Shull; nineteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. Glenn also was a father, grandfather and mentor to many.
Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, Indiana . There will not be a service as per his wishes.
