PEORIA -- Marjorie Anne Batdorf, 72, of 205 E. Forrest Hill died at 1 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 1996, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
Born April 25, 1924, in Peoria to Leo and Elizabeth O'Neil Wassmuth, she married Dennis Lence in 1942. He died in 1944. Surviving are one son, Curtis R. Jr. of Arleta, Calif.; three brothers, Robert Wassmuth of Thousand Oaks, Calif., John Wassmuth of Peoria and Richard Wassmuth of Bullhead City, Ariz.; and three sisters, Elizabeth Klein of Tucson, Ariz., Mary Joan Ditch of Peoria and Martha Lou Hartnett of Willmar, Minn. One sister preceded her in death.
She was a switchboard operator at St. Francis Medical Center for several years.
She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, where a memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. David C. Heinz will officiate. There will be no visitation. Cremation has been accorded by Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel.
Memorials may be made to her church or the American Cancer Society.
