Jessie Jean (Lawson) Guelich, 98, of Minnetonka, passed away on December 10, 2023. Jessie was born November 1, 1925, to George and Esther Lawson in Brule County, South Dakota. She graduated from Huron High School in 1942 and went onto school as a Cadet Student Nurse at Northwestern Hospital, in Minneapolis, graduating as a Registered Nurse in 1947. Jessie married Jack Guelich on July 11, 1948. She was a nurse at Oak Terrace Nursing Home in Glen Lake, Minnesota for 22 years, and after retirement in 1989, they moved permanently to their lake home in Emily, Minnesota.

Jessie was active in several organizations. She was a member of Loon Crafters Quilt Club, Crosslake Garden Club, Bone Builders, Snowbirds Snowmobile Club, and the Emily United Methodist Church. She also volunteered for Care and Share Food Bank. She enjoyed golfing, snowmobiling, knitting, quilting, sewing, and volunteering.

Jessie is survived by her children, Jackie Jeffers (Gary), Nancy Jo Guelich, Jeff Guelich (Carolyn) Jay Guelich (Sally), and grandchildren Hannibal Guelich and Madison Guelich.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings Joesphine Besore, Margaret Brown, Irving Lawson, Nancy Lawson, and Kay Schneller.

A Celebration of Life will be held this spring at Emily United Methodist Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Crosslake.
