Coral Jene Bateman was born in Utah on August 17th, 1950. She died peacefully in her sleep on August 30th, 2019. She is believed to now be wandering the jungles in her new sleek panther form, free from the restraints of her previous body. She loved her Mom and Daddy very much and spoke often of them to her children and grandchildren. She spent many hours on the phone laughing hysterically with her best friend and cousin Melanie, and her sisters. Her conversations could be heard throughout the house. She took her children and her grandchildren on fun adventures to Dancing Cranes Imports or the local pet store. In her younger years, she found joy in waking her kids with breakfast in bed. Her favorite treats were cake and sweet wine. She loved to write, she dabbled in pharmaceuticals, used a glue gun like a weapon and could cure any infection with a single tube of lydex. She felt strongly that shop vacs and duct tape were the best way to maintain a home. She single-handedly kept the local Dollar Store in business for 30 years, filling the trunk of her car with trinkets and toys to distribute to her many grandchildren. She had the ability to demolish any structure with her hand and a hammer. She drove as well as she navigated, terrifyingly. Her humor was dark, just like her clothes. She had a personal connection with every animal she met. Her two closest companions were her dogs Twilight and Possum. She would give her last 20 dollars to anyone in need. Giving gave her more joy than anything in the world. She was 1-800 number ordering junkie. Amazon gave her the ability to buy gifts for people from the comfort of her home. She gave "door dashing" a whole new meaning. She loved to create fun-filled packages, and then leave them on the doorsteps of her loved ones. David Bowie and Simon & Garfunkel were the rhythm of her life. She ended every sentence to her loved ones with, "I love you, holler if you need me." Mom, "The War is Over." We love you and we will miss you. We are so happy that you are finally free.

She is survived by her 13 children. Her siblings: Connell, Vonee, Deloy, Aleena, Davie, Tamara, Suzette, Craig, Myrna and Sherwin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Arlene who, towards the last days of her life, visited and comforted her. Her siblings Randal, Brandon, Kurt, Daleen, Gherri, April Dawn, and Linnan. Her son Lorin, her grandsons, Roger and Conner and her pets, Foxy, Gizmo and Eclipse.
