Hildegarde Fourspring
Hildegarde A. Alberstadt Henke Fourspring, age 102, of Erie, died Sunday, April 21, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Erie on October 17, 1910 a daughter of the late Francis and Anna Maria Minzenberger Alberstadt. She was a member of St. Joseph Church/Bread of Life Community, their Choir and Rosary Society, a Eucharistic Minister, the Legion of Mary, the Blue Army of Fatima, a 40 year volunteer at Battersby where she led the Rosary and sing-a-longs and a member of the Siebenbuerger Club.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, John Henke, her second husband, John Fourspring, a daughter, Angela Henke, a grandson, Paul Truchanowicz, four sisters, Eleanora Alberstadt, Catherine McCallion, Ann Wollert and Joann Falk, two brothers, Max and Francis Joseph Alberstadt, stepbrothers, Leo, Edward, Ralph and Joseph Alberstadt, stepsisters, Sr. M. Hildegarde, SSJ, Sr. M. Anicetus, SSJ, Agnes McCarthy and Lucy Causgrove.
She is survived by eight children, Mary Ann Zuck, Joseph Henke, Dorothy (Hank) Truchanowicz, Joann (Al) Sherman, John (Kathie) Henke, Virginia (Richard) Torrelli, Christine Henke and Hildi (Allen) Buvoltz. 21 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and will also be missed by her pets, Sadie and Hidey.
Friends may call on Wednesday at the Francis V. Kloecker Funeral Home, Inc. 2502 Sassafras St. Erie, PA. 16502 from 7-9 p.m. and are invited to a service there on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church/Bread of Life Community at 10 a.m.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
