She was the great-great-great-great-granddaughter of Richard Harris Fowler and Rachel Harper who first came to Stone County from Kentucky in 1850. They first settled in Swan Creek and later at Delaware Town where they spent the winter before going on to Urbana, then to Tunas in Dallas County, MO.

She loved to play the piano or guitar with "Horseshoe" when they were together. When she was younger, she played as well as Peggy Castle on Lawrence Welk's show.

She loved to fish with the biggest bobber she could buy. She was an avid gardener and loved her flowers and birds. She received an award every year for having the prettiest yard in her neighborhood.

She was a member of the Tunas Christian Church and a member of the Tunas Eastern Star for over 50 years. While she lived in Crane, MO she had a very special friend and neighbor, Gladys Reavis, that she always talked about.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Reva and husband, Melvin Swigart; a brother, Carl and wife, Minnie Fowler; and a granddaughter, Tina Rogers.
