Ruth E. Rogers, 92, a lifetime resident of Pennville, IN, passed away at 10:30 PM on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at The Waters of Dunkirk in Dunkirk, IN. She was born on Monday, August 3, 1931, to Virgil & Goldia (Melick) Oswalt in Jay County, IN. She married Clyde "Bus" F. Rogers on Friday, August 5, 1955, in Pennville. Ruth was a 1949 graduate of Pennville High school. She was a member for the Redkey Christian Church and Rebecca Lodge. Ruth had worked at McCarty & Bowman Grocery Store, Ludwigs, and Addairs. She enjoyed reading, riding bicycle, and doing word search puzzles.
Loving survivors include her daughter, Debbie (Jeff) Cash, Pendelton, IN, son, Jeff (Phoebe) Rogers, Pottstown, PA, son, John Rogers, Portland, IN, daughter, Donna (Keith) Skinner, Hartford City, IN, son, Jamie Rogers, Petroleum, IN, 10 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter-in-law, Sherri Rogers, siblings, Sally DuBois, Cecil "Bud' Oswalt, Dorwin Oswalt, Francis Medler, Shirley Bole, Wilford Oswalt, Virgil Oswalt, half-brother, Phillip Oswalt and half-sister, Carol Reed.
