Frances Angelini Vinson, a life-long resident of Montgomery, passed away at the age of 94 on December 10th, 2022.
Frances graduated from Margaret Booth School in Montgomery and attended Huntingdon College. After college, Frances met the love of her life Olin Vinson and was married in 1948. They spent 66 years together. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Montgomery. At First Baptist, she worked in the nursery and in the Cradle Roll departments. She was an active member of the Encouragers Sunday School Class and so enjoyed meeting and visiting with her friends there.

Frances was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved cooking for her family and they were particularly fond of her fried chicken, made-from-scratch poundcakes and chicken salad. She was always the first person to show up with a casserole for those in a time of need. She was quick to host a party or gathering of her sewing club, bridge club, the Daffodil Garden Club, literary club and other social occasions.

Frances loved to sew and make beautiful heirloom outfits for her children and grandchildren. She spent many weekends at her house on Lake Jordan with her family, where many happy and lasting memories were made. She also enjoyed spending time in Orange Beach, where she loved to shop and decorate.

Over the years she cherished many pets, and in the most recent years was comforted by her favorite pets, a tiny Yorkie named Sissy and a spirited Yorkie named Lulu. For the past several years, she has been lovingly cared for by the ladies at Jennings Professional Nursing Services. The family would like to say thank you to Shree, Sarah, Stacy, Cherry, Kya and Carol. Also, we greatly appreciate Amedisys Hospice Services for all of their care.

She was preceded by her father Mentore Leopoldo Angelini, her mother Irene Angelini, her husband Wilmer Olin Vinson, a daughter Cathy Ogburn (Bob) of Montgomery and a granddaughter Hilda Vinson Dempsey of Orange Beach.

She is survived by three children, Craig Vinson (Julia) of Orange Beach, AL, Larry Vinson (Karen) of Pike Road, AL and Amy Rutledge (Steve) of Montgomery, AL. Her grandchildren are Craig Vinson, Jr, (Suzanne) of Birmingham, Amy Catherine Oster (Jack) of Pike Road, Robert Ogburn of Montgomery, AL, Grady Vinson, Pike Road, AL, Hayes Vinson, Birmingham, AL, Brooks Vinson, Birmingham, AL, Frances Rutledge, Montgomery, AL, Vinson Rutledge, (Virginia) Birmingham, AL and Bennett Rutledge, Birmingham, AL. Great Grandchildren are Anna Vinson, Adelle Vinson, Craig "Trey" Vinson, III, Morgan Dempsey, Will Yeager, James Hughes, Emma Kate Hughes, Sofie Oster and Porter Wynn Rutledge.
