Daughter of Dieudonne Henri Doucette, and Mary Georgiana La Mere, both of the Trois Riviere area of Quebec, later of Turtle Lake Wisconsin.
Adeline arrived in the Cantal district of Saskatchewan in January 1906, where she married Euclid Baril (1880–1925) who came from Gentilly, Qc. They had nine children, eight of which lived to adulthood.
Their homestead was located a few miles east of the present day Cantal Church. When Euclid died, she rented the farm and moved the children remaining at home to Gravelbourg.
