Handsome was born on May 31, 2008. Needless to say I didn't know him until I received him for a Birthday present. On August 9, 2008 I woke up to a little furry pet at my head kissing me. He was put there my my husband. Handsome bit Will while doing so. He became my best friend that day. His head was much bigger than his body. I thought that was funny. Handsome was trained quickly. He was my sidekick. He loved to eat table scraps. Even though I bought him Puppy food. That little devil wormed his self into my heart quickly. It was hard for me due to the fact I lost all my babies in a fire on February 3, 2007. They died in the fire. I never wanted any more animals. TO FIND THIS ONE IN BED WITH ME ON MY BIRTHDAY.
Handsome was a fun loving puppy from day 1. He was funny by things he did. He was a great friend when I had no one. He would tell me when to go to bed. He would come get me and moan as if he was telling me to get my butt to bed. Handsome was loved by many. Even those who didn't like dogs/ animals.
Handsome would go to the bank and get cookies. He always knew when we were close to it. McDonalds was a treat to him after the vet visit. He would get so excited, especially when he smelled it in the air. He loved going to our new vet. Emily was a special pal to Handsome. He loved her. They were through a lot together.
Handsome lost his vision 2 years ago due to infections. So we had to get the eyeballs removed. But this never stopped him. He was one brave dog. It was if he never lost them. His sniffer was great. We were told afterwards that he was in congestive heart failure. So he had to get medications for that. Slowly over the last few months you could tell he wasn't feeling well. We took him to the vet. He had sores that opened with infection in the sores. We babied him. When we took him back we were told he was in organ failure. Which I know how this feels. Today I laid in bed with him the entire day just to be with him. I new his time was coming. However that brave little one held on. I think he was holding on for me. I cried like a baby. I had to tell him to cross over the rainbow.. Sadly, on December 16th at 8:15 pm by baby crossed.
Handsome will be cremated with his paw print.
