He was born on Saturday, December 30, 1933 to the late Leonard Frederick and Paulina W. (Rauscher) Enk in Indianapolis, Indiana.
After graduating from Morgantown High School in 1951 Otto served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1957. He worked for many years at Detroit Diesel Allison Transmission and retired in 1987. Otto also worked as a farmer during those years. He was a member of the Bloomington and Franklin Stamp Clubs, a charter member of the Morgan County History and Genealogy Association, and a Green Township Volunteer Fireman.
Otto is survived by his loving wife, Janice M. (Edwards) Enk, whom he married on August 12, 1960; son, Eric Enk and wife Rebecca of Martinsville; daughter, Lisa DeBaets and husband Roy of Redmond, Washington; sister, Margrit Figg of Martinsville; grandchildren, Megan Williams, Jacob Enk and Mina Raley and husband Kyle; great grandchildren, Emmersyn, Easton, Greta and Otto.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Paulina; brother, Karl F. Enk.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Costin Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jeff Floyd officiating. Visitation will be at the chapel on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday one hour prior to the funeral service.
Otto will be laid to rest with military honors at Nebo Memorial Park Cemetery.
