FAUCETT, Mo. - Cecil L. Marti Sr., 80, of Faucett, Missouri passed away Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2023, at Mosaic Life Care. He was born Oct. 29, 1943, in St. Joseph, son of Nadine and Theodore Marti. He married Darlene Verbick on June 3, 1967, Three days later, on June 6, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and is a Vietnam War Veteran. He worked at St. Joseph Stockyards.
He enjoyed playing cards and Bingo and was an avid LA Dodgers Baseball fan. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and especially grandchildren. Cecil was a member of V.F.W. and the American Legion Auxillary.
Cecil was preceded in death by mother and step-father, Nadine and Charles Plummer; his father, Theodore Marti Sr.; wife, Darlene Marti; brother, Ernest Alfred Marti; sister, Joann Mace; brothers-in-law, Richard and Billy Verbick; and sister-in-law, Nancy Ramsey.
Survivors include son, Cecil (Heather) Marti Jr., of Agency, Missouri; daughter, Garnett (Kelly) Larison, of Amazonia, Missouri; grandsons, Mark (Stephanie) Larison, Tyler Marti and Jake Marti; great-granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Madelyn, Caralyn and Everlyn Larison; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 18, 2023, at Rupp Funeral Home with Interment following at Ashland Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at Rupp Funeral Home.
