She accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized upon her confession of faith by Rev. A. W. Friesen at Bethesda Mennonite Church where she remained a lifelong member.
On August 30, 1949 she was united in marriage to Harold R. Epp at Bethesda Mennonite Church. They celebrated 72 years of marriage. To this union were born four children: Beverly, Donna, Calvin and Raymond.
Marie was a homemaker and a partner in the farm with her husband. She enjoyed travelling and wintering in South Texas for 25 years. The family will remember her as a person of prayer and Bible reading. Throughout her lifetime she was a person of compassion and caring.
Left to cherish Marie's memory are her 3 children, and their spouses; 11 grandchildren and their spouses; 22 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her husband, Harold R. Epp; son, Calvin R. Epp; granddaughter, Renae (Goertzen) Epp; six brothers and one sister.
Graveside services will be held at 9:15 am, Monday, December 18, 2023, at Bethesda Mennonite Cemetery, Henderson, followed by a worship and Celebration of Life at 10:00 am at Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson.
