He was born in Crisp County to the late Marvin C. Brown, and Annie Sweat Brown. He was a long-time farmer and served as State Chairman of the ASCS Committee. As an outdoorsman, he loved to hunt and fish. Clarence never met a stranger. Anyone who knew him realized immediately how much he loved people. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.
Besides his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Sweat; three sisters, Josephine Holt, Paulene Powers, and Maxine Taylor.

There will be a graveside service Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Pleasant View Cemetery at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am at The Barn at Pleasant View Church.
