Harlan A. Haisley, 87, of Fairmount, Indiana, died on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Marion Health in Marion, IN. He entered this world on June 3, 1936, in Fairmount, IN, born to Burr and Anna (Holloway) Haisley.

Harlan attended Fairmount High School and Purdue University. He married Wanda Stanley on November 30, 1956, and she survives. He worked at RCA\Thomson for 30 years as a maintenance welder and was a lifelong farmer. Harlan was a member of the Fairmount Masonic Lodge, and the Fort Wayne Mizpah Shriners for several years. He attended Fairmount Friends Church.

Harlan was a good man. On snowy days he would head out in his old Chevy truck with the snowplow to clear driveways for friends who needed the help. He enjoyed being out in the barn working on his truck, or tractor, or just tinkering around. Harlan was interested in farming and reading up on all of the new farm equipment and the new innovations in farming. He was always freshly shaven and smelled of old old spice.

Harlan is survived by his wife, Wanda Haisley, Fairmount; daughters, Brenda Shaffer, of Fairmount; and Kelly (Mike) Pollen, of Alexandria; grandchildren, Stephanie Stephens, Jeremy (Angel) Pollen, Stacy (Andrew Moroney) Pollen, and Cory (Emily) Pollen; great-grandchild, Jovi Pollen; step-great-grandchildren, Lucas Darnell, and Mia Shuler; brother, Charles (Ethel) Haisley, of Fairmount; many nieces and nephews, and their little furry friend, Muffin.

He was preceded in death by his father, Burr Haisley; mother, Anna Haisley; sister, Doris Ann Haisley; and grandson, Daniel (Brooke) Stephens.

Arrangements for Harlan have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 South Main Street, Fairmount, IN., where on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, a family visitation and funeral service was held.
