Obituary for Craig Topham
Craig Topham was born on January 14, 1945, in Englewood, California to Melvin Orrel and Nellie Craig Topham. He was joined by siblings Kim and Joleen and the family moved between California, Arizona, Vegas and Utah where his parent's trained racehorses as a career. He attended Washington High School in Phoenix ,Arizona. He married Sandra Jan Heck in 1965 in Albany, Oregon. They had two children: Trina Lynn and Brandon Ray.

Craig worked for Union Pacific Railroad in the mid-sixties and then worked in the roofing industry in Las Vegas in 1965. They then moved to Albany and began working for Teledyne Wah Chang with his brother Kim as a large machine maintenance mechanic. Craig and Sandra divorced in 1972. He continued to live in Las Vegas for a few years where he enjoyed his hobby/occupation as a trap artist where he would trap wild mountain lions, cougars and bob cats and sell their pelts for profit. He then moved to Gunnison, Utah where he met and married the love of his life Tanya Winn in February 1978 and inherited six beautiful children to his family. He and Tanya then added two more children to their brood: Kassie and Chance Craig. While he and Tanya were raising eight children, he worked driving truck hauling coal for the mines. Driving truck was hard on his body and after he and Tanya separated, he retired on disability. He then moved to be near his sister Joleen in Sandy, Utah in 2008 for a short time prior to living in Nephi, Utah for a few years.

In 2014 he came to live in Oregon so his kids there could care for him. He was very active in gardening and could make anything grow! He used to have a huge garden in Utah that he took great pride in. He even bragged about growing his own horseradish. He always strived to eat healthier by growing his own foods and taking excellent care of his body with working out in his younger days and caring about his own health.

He collected unique firearms and loved to shoot and target practice and was a big advocate for gun safety and ownership and had a great time teaching his kids and grandkids to shoot. He was a sharp shooter and could hit any target from any distance when challenged. He did his own ammunition reloading and took pride in his work and the ever-frugal side of him bragged about how it was cheaper to do that than buy the ammo at the local Walmart. He loved spending time with family and watching western movies. He enjoyed reading and loved reading his Bible or having it read to him. His greatest joy though was watching his family grow and talking about his grandchildren and his great grandchildren. He adored all his children and often mentioned how he wished they were all in the same place so he could be available to spend time with them all. Craig loved the Lord very much and we rest assured he is with Him now, no longer in pain and is being loved by our Heavenly Father until we meet again.

Craig is preceded in death by his parents Orrel and Nellie Topham, his step-daughter Heather Winn and his son Brandon Parlanti. He is survived by his children: Trina Rose (Richard), Kassie Donaldson (Joe), Chance Topham, Vickie Winn Arlt (Nate), Lorinda Jones (Roy), Teresa Winn Melnitsky (Adam), Heidi McIntosh (Brady), Sean Winn (Shyanne), as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
