Philip passed away peacefully on November 24, 2019 at his home in Trinity, Texas surrounded by his family. He was born in Huntsville, Texas on November 20, 1937 to Todd and Alice (Randdle) Pegoda.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Carolyn Pegoda, his parents, siblings Annie May Jones, Inez Morgan, Troy Pegoda, Gilbert Pegoda, Vernon Pegoda, and grandson Christopher Wise.
Philip is survived by son Phillip Pegoda, Jr. and wife Brenda, daughter Debra Pegoda and Paul Puckett, daughter Tracey Gibson and husband Bub, and son Steve Gaylor, grandchildren Kevin and Mele Pegoda, Michael Massey, Leslie and Miguel Nieves, Jennifer and Douglas Heaton, Tammy Pegoda, Dalton Gaylor and Kim McInturf, and Dustin and Cheyenne Gaylor, great-grandchildren Ariel, Belle, Phillip, Peyton, Gabriel, Isaac, Caleb, Elijah, Kaitlyn, Kristina, Karley, Kenzee, Hayley, Lilly, Adrian, Zionna, and Grayson, and brother Herman Pegoda. Numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive.
Philip was a beloved husband, father, Pawpaw, and great Pawpaw. Mr. Pegoda retired from Texaco and was an avid coon hunter, cb operater, and sports fan.
He will be dearly missed by the family and friends he leaves behind to cherish his memory.
