Sherrod Hall McLemore "Mack" 72 passed away on October 20, 2023 in Savannah, Ga. after a battle with Lung and Bone Cancer.

Sherrod was born on November 30, 1950 in Savannah, Ga to the late James Paul McLemore Sr and Rachel Deleen Hall McLemore. He was better known to his family and friends as Mack. He was a Chatham County native most of his life. He graduated from Richard Arnold High School in Savannah, Ga in 1970 and was drafted into the United States Army to serve In Vietnam. While his service in The Army he became a Sp4 and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Army Commendation Medal and was apart of the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles.

Mack worked at Georgia Pacific Saw Mill in Savannah, Ga for 7 years, Stone Container in Port Wentworth, Ga for 21 years and Georgia Pacific Plywood in Garden City, Ga for 6 years.

Mack enjoyed spending with his children and grandchildren. Going to the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge, drive through, have picnics and Easter Egg hunt. He was an avid natural and animal lover. Along with Horror and western movies. His favorites were The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly and Once Upon a Time in the West. Mack enjoyed going to Swainsboro, Ga and telling his children/grandchildren all the things that he use to do when he was younger. Even though we heard these stories over and over again, we enjoyed them and loved to pass them down. He loved history especially tracing his family history and the Civil War.
