In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Cooper, her son, Jeff Edge, and her brothers, James Bracewell and Louis Bracewell.

Ruby dedicated her life to hard work and retired from Biljo, where she served as a skilled seamstress. She approached life with a deep love and zest, cherishing every moment. Ruby's unwavering determination was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Ruby found solace and strength in her faith as a devoted member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. Her unwavering commitment to her place of worship was a testament to her character and values.

Outside of her professional and religious commitments, Ruby found joy in various hobbies. She was a member of the Boot Scooters Ladies Line Dancing group, showcasing her passion for music and movement. Additionally, she found solace in spending time at the beach, spending time with her friends and tending to her yard.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Thursday, December 14, 2023 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with Rev. Baron Powell and Rev. Richard Wyatt officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 P.M. until 3:00 P.M., Thursday, December 14, 2023.
