Connie L. Martin, 88, of Burlington, died Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Savannah Heights in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.
Born May 7, 1935, at home in Wapello, Iowa, she was the daughter of Harry George and Robert Sr.and Fae (Harris) Brissey. She was a 1953 graduate of Burlington High School.
She married Leo J. "Bud" Martin on July 29, 1961, in Peoria, Illinois. He preceded her in death on January 3, 2014.
Connie worked for the Burlington School System and more recently for the YMCA.
She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish.
She was known for her immaculate yard and beautiful gardens. She loved crafting and participated in many area craft shows throughout the years.
She is survived by her children; Vicky Martin, Chad (Tracy) Martin and Greg (Krista) Martin all of Burlington and Jamy (Mark) Eisenmann of Danville and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bud, daughter Cathy Smith, three grandchildren and brother Robert Brissey Jr.
