James Richard Bays, age 78 of Bell Buckle died Sunday December 3, 2023. He was a native of Rogers, Arkansas and was preceded in death by his father James Clayton Bays, and mother, Velara McEachern Bays; brother, Billy Bays; and a sister, Janis Callaway.
Mr. Bays was a member of East Main Church of Christ and was a graduate of Oklahoma State University. He enjoyed his cattle farm in Bell Buckle.
Mr. Bays is survived by his sister, Janie Redfield; nephew, Charles James "CJ" Redfield, Brett Bays, Greg Callaway; niece, Julie White and Gary.
A memorial service will be at 2:00PM Saturday at East Main Church of Christ with Brother Wayne Lankford officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the memorial service. Woodfin Memorial Chapel is in charge of cremation arrangements. www.woodfinchapel.com
