She was born on August 30, 1948 in McDowell County to the late Clifford Reese and Betty Kelley Reese.
Brenda was a CNA for most of her life. She will be remembered as being the best caregiver for her two daughters when they became ill. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and she will be missed by everyone who knew her. Most of all, she had a strong faith in her Lord and Savior.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Lewis; daughters, Sherry Lewis and Diane Lewis Jones; and son-in-law, Vernon Jones.
She is survived by two children, Mechelle Reel (Anthony) and Mark Lewis; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister, Janice Hensley; and a Gran Aunt to three.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Cemetery with Rev. Jonathan Cable and her daughter, Mechelle, officiating
