Archie Lloyd "Red" Bottom, 83, Holton, died April 16, 2008, at Holton Community Hospital. He was born Jan. 29, 1925 in Carthage, Mo., the son of Archie and Hazel Armstrong Bottom. Mr. Bottom was a farmer. He had been a resident at nursing homes in Holton for some time but spent most of his life in the Havensville area. He married Orpha Ophelia Bradley on July 26, 1969, in Holton. They divorced. Survivors include a son, Tony Lloyd Bottom, rural Havensville; several stepchildren; three brothers, Marvin Bottom and Gerald Bottom, both of Soldier, and Clyde Bottom, Hayward, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie Bottom, in 1983, and Hazel Bottom, in 1989; A brother, Kenneth Dean, in 1981; and a sister, Lois Irene Bottom Mitchell, in 1985. Mr. Bottom was cremated. Graveside inurnment services will be held at 11 a.m. April 21 in Bucks Grove Cemetery.
