She was born June 26, 1958 in Bardstown to the late Vincent Fabian and Lula Mae Warden Downs.
Debbie was a dental assistant for Andrea Haydon Dental Office and was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. She was very creative, enjoyed antiquing, loved cats, but more than anything, she loved her sons, they were her world.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Dale Cheser, a sister, Carolyn Thompson and a brother, Ronnie Downs.
She is survived by her sons, Braxton Hunter (Sydnee) Boone of New Hope, Fabian Alex (Jessica) Boone of Bardstown, 2 stepchildren, Alisha (John) Hammond of Bloomfield, Corey (Megan) Cheser of New Hope, her sister, Cathy (Victor) Hall of Bardstown, her brother, Willie (Cathy) Downs of Bardstown, 5 grandchildren, Wade, Hadley, Warren, Mason, and Logan, 2 step-grandchildren, Katherine and Owen, and her nieces and nephews, Tammy (Stuart) Edelen, Shannon Downs (Chad) Kemplin, Troy Downs, Justin (Michelle) Hall, Ben (Emily) Hall and her special cat, Keke. Several great nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
The family would like to extend special thanks to her caregivers, Natasha Taylor, Lois O'Bryan and Anna Raspberry.
Funeral services for Mrs. Debbie Boone-Cheser will be 11:00 am Thursday, December 7, 2023 at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home. Kevin Lutz will officiate. Interment will be in St. Thomas Catholic Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00-8:00 pm and Thursday after 8:30 am until time of the funeral service.
