Untimely Death of George Melvin Shoemaker
SPRINGS, May 5— George Melvin Shoemaker, aged 6 years, died in the Hazel MeGilvery hospital Tuesday morning, April 29, after a brief illness. He was the son of Melvin and Mildred Harding Shoemaker and was born on Feb. 17, 1941.

He is survived by his parents, one sister, Lillie, and a brother, William; also by his grandfathers, William Harding and Norman Shoemaker, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted in the St. Paul Reformed church in charge of Rev. George K. Ely of that church, and Rev. Walter Otto of the Mennonite church, on Thursday afternoon. The floral tributes were many and beautiful.

Interment was made in the St. Paul cemetery, in charge of William Winterberg, Grantsville mortician.
