Ronnie Warren, 76, of Fort Stockton, TX passed away November 21, 2023, in Odessa, TX after a long courageous battle with COPD.
Ronnie was born February 10, 1947, in Live Oak, Florida to Nunely and Florence (Gray) Warren. His family moved to Texas when he was a preschooler, and he has called Texas his home ever since. After high school, he began his career in the oilfield industry, including land well sites and offshore drilling, retiring reluctantly after 56 years. He was a dedicated hardworking man with strong work ethics and loved working in the oilfield.
Ronnie married Yvonne Warren (Acord) August 13, 1976, and collectively they had five children, Debbie, Cecil, Susan, R.F. and Tommy. They began their lives together in Fort Stockton, TX, moving to various locations throughout Texas and lived in Ireland and Scotland during his oilfield career. When not working, he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren, fishing, and road trips. He jumped at any chance to get behind the wheel of a car with any willing family member and drive, destination known or unknown.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Nunely Warren, Sr. and Janey Florence (Gray) Warren, brother Thomas Warren, sister Jeanie (Warren) Petit, wife Yvonne Warren, and sons Cecil, Ronald Franklin (R.F.) and Tommy Warren.
He is survived by daughters Debbie Nygaard (Warren) and husband Kevin, Susan Warren, Grandchildren Joshua Nygaard, Tiffany Phariss and husband Ryder, Zachary Nygaard, Trinity Warren, Cameryn Warren, Tristian Warren, Levi Warren, Great Grandchildren Noble Nygaard and Reese Phariss, nieces and nephews, and close friend Ashley Courtney.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, December 2, 2023 at the Van Alstyne Cemetery, with Rev. Mark Fletcher, officiating.
