Polio Is Fatal to Nevinville Farmer
Funeral services were held at Fontanelle Monday afternoon for Harold Banister, 50 year old Nevinville farmer, who died of bulbar poliomyelitis last Saturday morning. Services were at the Ewing funeral home in Fontanelle. Burial was in the Fontanelle cemetery.
Mr. Banister died in an ambulance while being taken to a hospital in Iowa City after he had been ill with polio for a few days. He died after the ambulance had gone only a few miles from his home.
He is survived by his widow, Louise; and a daughter, Mrs. Vergil Vettrick of Massena.
