Darlene J. Laudenklos, 87, of Monroe, Nebraska, died Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Genoa LTC, Genoa, Nebraska.

Funeral arrangements are pending.

Darlene J. Laudenklos was born on June 11th, 1936, on a farm south of Platte Center, Nebraska, to Harry and Emma (Thayer) Laudenklos.

She attended Platte County elementary school and graduated from Platte Center High School in 1954.

She was a member of the Silver Spur Saddle Club where she served as the secretary.

Darlene was also a member of the First Church of Monroe and the American Legion Auxiliary post #322.

She retired from Dales Electronics after working the night shift for 27 years.

Darlene loved all animals; horses, dogs, cats and especially the animals at the Horn T Zoo.

Another passion of hers was planting flowers in the summer.
