Doreen P. Aleixo, age 64, a lifelong resident of Taunton passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 5, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Taunton and was the daughter of the late Gerald Aleixo and Marion (Rose) Brown. She graduated from Taunton High School with the class of 1977. She worked in the medical device industry for many years before her retirement. Doreen was a fiercely independent woman and a devout animal lover. She enjoyed tending to her home and yard, riding her motorcycle, reading and caring for her pets that she loved so much.
Doreen is survived by her mother, Marion Brown; by her siblings, Deborah (Brian) Carr, Donna (Stephen) Sherman, Dianne Aleixo, Darlene Aleixo, Denise Aleixo, David Aleixo and Daniel Aleixo; by her nieces, Alyssa Arieta, Stephanie (Sherman) Byron, Morgan Aleixo and Lyndsie Aleixo; by her nephews, Christopher Carr, Matthew (Melanie) Carr and Elliott Sherman along with several great-nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 21 at 10AM at Holy Family Church, 370 Middleboro Avenue, East Taunton. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
