Obituary for Clemadine A. Davis

Clemadine A. Davis, 95, of Rushville, received her Heavenly reward on May 24, 2023. She was born June 3, 1927 in Rush County to Warnie & Lounetta (Shaw) Hutchinson.
She was a 1945 graduate of Arlington High School where she was a "Yell leader" from 1944-1945.

Clem married Wm K. Barnard in the Fall of 1946 and they had 2 children, Sharon & Terry.

She later married Robert E. Davis on January 27, 1956 and they had 2 sons, Gary & Bruce.

Clem worked 42 years in customer service for Schnadig Corporation, spent several years at Herdrich Petroleum, was a sales representative for Hallmark and also answered phones and did bookkeeping for Davis Towing.

Clem was always active in her community. She volunteered at Rush Memorial Hospital for 25 years and played piano at local nursing homes and for baby shows at the Rush County Fair. She was awarded the Hoosier lifetime award and the Golden Hoosier award in 2011.

She was a longtime member of the First Southern Baptist Church where she was pianist many years.
She was also a longtime member of the First Church of God in Rushville. Her folks actually started the church in Rushville & Connersville.

Clem is survived by her children, Sharon (Pat) Connerly of Greensburg, Terry (Jennifer) Barnard of Greenfield, Gary Davis (Fiance'-Chris Sweet) of Lake Santee and Bruce (Shari) Davis of Rushville, 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, sisters, Lounetta Brooks, Gertrude Wagner, Marcella Maze & Mildred Borders and brothers, Omar, Harley and Halsted Hutchinson and Harry Brooks, a grandson, Christopher Davis and son-in-law, Tim Cameron.
Services will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, May 30, 2023 in Moster Mortuary, Rushville with Jeff Edwards presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family on Tuesday from 10 AM until service at 1 PM. Burial will be in the Arlington East Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Rush County Community Foundation-Christopher Davis Fund.
