Services for Lennie Stewart, 95, of College Station and formerly Crosbyton will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 17, 2005 at Crosbyton First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Karan Young officiating. Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
Lennie passed away March 14, 2005 in College Station. She was born January 12, 1910 in Madisonville, Texas to James Arthur and Francis Neoma (Taylor) Polvadore. On January 1, 1933 she married John Will Stewart. He preceded her in death on January 30, 2002. She moved to Crosby County in 1920 from Madisonville and was a member of the Crosbyton First United Methodist Church. Lennie attended East Texas State Teacher's College and moved to College Station from Crosbyton.
Survivors include; two daughters; Eugenia Williams of College Station, Shirley Largent of Alvin, two sisters; Oleta Davis and Nila Brown , five grandchildren; Sherry Kreft, Cindy Reed, Leigh Holloway, Cal McNeill, and Gregg Williams, ten great grandchildren; Amanda Reed, Kyle Kreft, Garrett Kreft, Ian Holloway, Owen Holloway, Molly McNeill, Jace McNeill and Micah McNeill, Hannah Williams and Michael Paul Williams. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until service time, Thursday at the church. The family suggests memorials to Crosbyton First United Methodist Church P. O. Box 476 Crosbyton, Texas 79322.
