George Ray McMorris, Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend went home to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Friday November 10th, 2023, at the age of 77. He was born on November 2, 1946, in Sherman, TX.
George married the love of his life Barbara Barton McMorris in 1969, in Collin County, Texas where they spent 57 glorious years together. George was in the United States Army for many years before returning home. He then worked for many years at Fisher Control and Oncor Wire. He was a long-time member of the Elmont Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
George is survived by his wife Barbra, sons Ray and wife Amy, Michael and his wife Rhonda, Billy and wife Stephanie. Grandchildren Reuben, Callie, Will, Cyrus, blue, Makayla and Britney. Sisters Janie and Marie and several great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00am, Monday, November 20, 2023, at the Van Alstyne Cemetery in Van Alstyne, TX.
