KOONTZ LAKE - Edith B. Daley, 80, passed away Friday, April 18, 2008, in Miller's Merry Manor, Walkerton, IN. Mrs. Daley was born April 13, 1928, in Idaville, IN, to Carl and Goldie (Monnett) Hastings, and had lived in the area since 1949, coming from Hobart, IN. On June 14, 1949, in Walkerton, IN, she was married to Peter E. Daley, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Sandra (Mike) Ross of Walkerton and Karen (Steve) Cole of Knox; four sons, Peter Daley II of Walkerton, John Daley of Tyner, Randy (Rose) Daley of Grovertown and Ronald (Yvonne) Daley of Grovertown; 22 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter, Donna Jean, two brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Daley was a homemaker. Graveside services will take place Saturday, April 26, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. CDT at Crown Hill Cemetery, Knox, IN. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Starke County Humane Society, 104 W. State Road 10, North Judson, IN 46366. Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel, is handling arrangements.
