HAUGHTON, LA - Allen A Duchesne - A long-term resident of Bossier City, and a faithful Christian and deacon of the First Baptist Church and Airline Baptist Church, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 6, 2002 at Willis-Knighton in Bossier City. Mr. Duchesne was born September 10, 1915 in Richland Parrish, LA, to the late Charles C. and Carrie Duchesne.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, January 8, 2002 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Hill Crest Funeral Home in Haughton. Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2002 at the Airline Baptist Church with Dr. Damon Vaughn and Rev. Harrell Shelton officiating.

Mr. Duchesne is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Eloise Reese Duchesne; daughter, Jeanette Williams, and husband, Neil of Houston, TX; son, Allen R. Duchesne and wife, Paula, of Arlington, TX; seven grandchildren, Terre McGill and husband Shawn of Bedford, TX; Ted Duchesne of Bedford, TX; Cody, Chase, and Dane Gilbert of Arlington, TX; Paula Cameron of McKinney, TX, and Julie Johnson and Husband, John of Pasadena, TX; six great-grandchildren, Tehya, Savannah, Sadie, Angela, Stephanie, and Sam; one great-great grandson, Brendan; sisters, Vernice Breland of West Monroe, Mackie Fitch of Monroe, Joyce Rabun of Farmerville, Sybil Evanoff of Bossier City, and Betty Thompson of Chatanooga, TN; and many nieces, nephews, and relatives.

Mr. Duchesne served seven years with the CCC then With the U.S. Engineers at Barksdale AFB. He was an independent builder at Duchesne Construction Company for many years in addition to working for Bolinger Lumber Company and Mill Engineers.

Pallbearers will be Ted Duchesne, Roy Edmiston, Rex Bell, Bill Brown, Ickey Kirkikis, Cody, Chase, and Dane Gilbert.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the adult five Sunday School Class of Airline Baptist Church.
