Oscar was born March 1, 1937 in Stanly County to the late Ed and Sadie Throneburg Blalock. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Norwood First Baptist Church. He was a retiree of Arrowood.
He was preceded in death by his wife Saundra Hutchinson Blalock and a granddaughter Courtney Blalock.
He is survived by two sons, a daughter, and four grandchildren.
