Virgil Lee Bonham of Eugene died Feb. 28 of lung cancer at age 71.
He was born Dec. 13, 1935, in Eugene to Walter and Maudie Van Dussen Bonham.
He married Mary Richards on Nov. 9, 1960, in Reno, Nev.
He served in the Air Force and worked as a mechanic in the timber industry.
Survivors include his wife; his mother, Maudie Hansen; three sons, Scott of
Red Bluff, Calif., Kelly of Blaine, Wash., and Bryan of Eugene; a daughter,
Ava Carnegie of Manteca, Calif.; five siblings, Lu Jean Cross of Fresno, Calif.,
Pat McGuire and Walter Bonham, both of Lompoc, Calif., and Stephen Bonham and
Mugsy, both of Squaw Valley, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren.
A family service will be later. Arrangements by Andreason's Cremation & Burial
Service in Springfield. Remembrances to a hospice.
