Dorothy Jean Gourley Savage, 90 of Glasgow passed away Monday evening November 13, 2023. She was born May 22, 1933 in rural Greene County the daughter of the late Walter David "Jim" Bartlett and Nettie Elizabeth Wells Bartlett Doyle. She married Leland P. Gourley in 1952 and he preceded her in death in 2002, She later married Kenneth Savage, and he preceded her in death in 2021.

Jean was a 1951 graduate of Winchester High School. She worked for many years as a secretary for the Alsey and White Hall Elevators and Thomas Quarry. She was then Laundry Supervisor for the state hospital in Jacksonville, retiring after 25 years.

Jean enjoyed horseback riding and was a member of the Glasgow Saddle Club, she enjoyed playing cards visiting with friends singing and singing Karaoke. She was the leader of the Glasgow Kitchen Band.

Surviving are her children Debra McLeese of Jacksonville, Donna (Bob) Hurt of Glasgow, Paula (Larry) Holmes of Jacksonville, Robyn (Kendra) Gourley of Glasgow, her grandchildren; Lisa (Jerry) O'Daniel, Krysta (James) Welch, Kelly (Paul) Summers, Chad (Karli) Holmes, Stacey (Edgar) Padilla, Jamie Moore, Jodie Knapp, Brandi Hurt, Dakota Dawson. Great grandchildren; Griffin, Sadie, Mallory, Bryson, Keaton, Kenzi, Jeffery, Ashton, Daniel, Tate, Logan, Laekyn, Michael, Melissa, Kaylie, Jonathan, Taylor, Dalton, Brody, Jayden and 5 great great grandchildren.

Also surviving is her sister Barbara Moore of Winchester, many nieces and nephews, and step children, Michael Savage of Springfield, Cathy (Dohrn) Howard of Glasgow, Carla (Paul) Burton of Heiskill, Tennessee, Colleen (Rich) George of rural Roodhouse and Shiloh (Tracy) Savage of Winchester.

Preceding her in death was her twin brother Donald Dean Bartlett (surviving wife Ruth of Prophetstown) and brother Richard "Dick" Bartlett.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am Thursday November 16, 2023 in the Glasgow Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to the Winchester EMS or Boyd Hospital. The family is very grateful to the staff, doctors and nurses at Boyd Hospital for the wonderful care provided in her last days.
