Paul loved being a bus driver for BBCHS and ONU sports teams. His bus kids called him Grahams. Paul had been involved in church since he was a child on various platforms. He loved his bible and his family. Paul enjoyed Christian music and worship. He had a special love for his granddaughter and was always helping others. He knew no strangers.
Surviving are his wife of almost 50 years, Jody Stoops of Bradley; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Joshua Paul Stoops of Bradley and Daniel & Gloria Stoops of Chebanse; one granddaughter, Izzabelle Stoops; one sister and brother-in-law, Rosie & Fred Furston of Peoria; one brother and sister-in-law, Jonathan & Colleen Stoops of Aledo; and his extended family. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Nathan Stoops.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the Noon memorial service on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Pastor K.A. Abraham will officiate the service.
