Mr. Shores was a US Navy veteran and he had resided in Collins for the last four years after coming from Pineville, LA where he had been a caregiver for his wife for many years. He had previously worked as a welder for International Paper. He enjoyed outdoors, planting trees, and playing chess. He was greatly loved by family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia "Patty" Shores.
He is survived by a son, Terry Shores of Summerville, GA; a daughter, Kristine (Charles) Tucker of Florence; sister, Vautice Pearson of Rome, GA; two granddaughters and one grandson.
