Agatha Aguiar, 63, of 29 Anthony Ave., a supervisor for the Premier Thread Co. for 20 years, died Saturday at Roger Williams General Hospital. She was the widow of John Aguiar.
Born in St. Michael, the Azores, a daughter of the late Luiz S. and Lucinda (Rocha) Sousa, she lived in Bristol for 27 years.
Mrs. Aguiar was a communicant of St. Elizabeth's Church. She was a member of the Don Luiz Filipe Society.
She leaves three brothers, Luiz S. Sousa of Bristol, Alvaro deSousa of Taunton, Fernando S. Sousa of Warren, and two sisters, Orminda Pontes of San Jose, Calif., and Adriana Caetano of Santa Clara, Calif.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Elizabeth's Church, Wood Street. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
