Funeral Service honoring Mrs. Brown will be 2 PM Monday, November 13, 2023 in the Heritage Chapel of the Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Doc Shelton officiating. Visitation will be 11 AM until Service Time on Monday, November 13, 2023 at Ripley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown was born July 30, 1928 in Tippah County to the late Sallie Etta Booker and Marian Sim Wood. She received her education from the Mississippi Public School System and was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker for all of her life.
A Christian, Mrs. Brown was an avid reader whose favorite pastimes included her daily walks and listening to gospel music. She mostly kept to her self and enjoyed the simple things in life. Mrs. Brown lived a complete full life whose legacy will be that of a gentle soul whose loving spirit brightened the lives of those she leaves behind.
Those left to cherish memories include two daughters, Natha Jackson (Eddie) and Evelyn Tidewell, one son, Hank P Sides, one step sister, Clara Moore, seven grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, friends, and family.
He is preceded in death by her husband, William "Buck" Brown.
