Service for Mark August Busse, 18, will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Smith Gymnasium Reardan High School. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mark was born in Spokane and died Monday at home from lung cancer. He was a Senior at Reardan High School and earned varsity letters in football, basketball and track.
He is survived by his mother and father, Bonnie and Larry Busse of Reardan; one brother, Tim, and one sister, Jill, both students at Washington State University; and his grandparents, Luella Busse of Moses Lake, and Hein and Bernie Janson of Spokane.

Mark was cremated and given to his family.
His remains were then placed inside a Basketball signed by his idle Michael Jordan. He was then placed at Reardan.
