Born in Winthrop and raised in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Ruth (Archer) Bruttaniti.
Mrs. Persia had been employed for twenty-eight years as a cook for the City of Lynn school department and at the time of her retirement she was working at the Lynn Vocational Technical Institute.
A resident of Lynn for over fifty years, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband with whom she shared fifty-seven years of marriage, she is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Peicott and her husband, Robert of Peabody, a son, John Persia and his wife, Tabitha of Brandon, FL, two grandchildren, Bailey and Melanie Peicott as well as nieces and a nephew.
Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
