Herkimer, July 5 - Sylvester Brown, 76, died at his home, 307 East German Street, Monday morning, after a short illness.
Mr. Brown was born in the town of Oppenheim, December 14, 1849 the son of the late Peter and Laura Brown. most of his early life was spent in that town and in the town of Fairfield. For the last 16 years he has resided in Herkimer. He was a retired farmer. His wife died April 25, of this year.
He is survived by two daughters Mrs. DeLong of Niagara Falls and Mrs. Nellie Luther of Herkimer; three brothers, Ira of Herkimer, Byron and Jacob of Little Falls.
