FORT WORTH James "Jim" Shults, 74, a retired project engineer with the Lockheed materials department and a consulting engineer, died Wednesday at a Fort Worth hospital.
Memorial service: 2 pm today at St Christopher's Episcopal Church.
James "Jim" Shults was born Oct 5, 1921 in Heavener, Okla.
Mr. Shults was a devout member of Saint Christopher's Episcopal Church, was a past president of the WBCCI (Air Stream) Club, and was a member of the Lockheed Retirement Association. Mr. Shults served as a captain in the US Marines during World War II. He served in the Marines from 1942 to 1946.
Mr. Shults received his bachelors degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1951.
Jim and Rene Shults moved to Fort Worth from Norman, Oklahoma in 1951 following his graduation. He went on to receive his masters from Southern Methodist University in 1961 through extension courses offered by General Dynamics.
