Catherine dedicated her life to her family as a loving homemaker. She found joy in creating a nurturing and loving environment for her loved ones. She was a devoted wife to Lewis Barondeau, a caring mother to Diana Phillips, and a doting grandmother to Grayson and Owen Phillips. Candy is survived by her husband, Lewis Barondeau, her daughter, Diana Phillips, her son in law, Michael Phillips, Grandchildren, Grayson and Owen Phillips, brother Edward Gast, her sisters, Diane Becker, Judy Sczublewski, and Eileen Kirby and many nieces and nephews.
Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Katherine Gast, her nephew Thomas Becker, her sisters Eva Childress and Kathleen Spencer, as well as her mother and father-in-law, Lewis and Clara Barondeau, and sister-in-law Margie Washnok.
Catherine received her education at St. Anthony of Padua for primary school and later graduated from St Ann's Catholic High. Her faith was an integral part of her life, and she found solace and strength in her worship at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
In her leisure time, Catherine found joy in the company of her beloved dogs, playing scrabble, camping and RV'ing, Anniversary cruises with her husband and traveling to visit her sisters in California, Minnesota, Massachusetts and Florida. These cherished hobbies allowed her to create lasting memories and deepen her connections with loved ones.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the visitation, which will be held at Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc., Sunday, November 12th, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, in Towson, on Monday, November 13th, at 9:00 am.
Candy will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her unconditional love, gentle spirit, and dedication to her family will forever be remembered. May her soul find eternal peace and may her memory be a blessing to us all.
