Barbara A. Dorward, 84, of DeRuyter, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023. She was born December 13, 1938 in Oneida, the daughter of Ellis & Ruth Miles Arnold. She retired as a waitress at the 19th Hole Restaurant in Cazenovia. Barbara was a member of the DeRuyter Fire Dept. auxiliary, and enjoyed bowling. Surviving daughters Barbara Yelvington, Jennifer (Aditya) Rustgi, and Claudine Dorward; sons Dennis (Christina), Christopher (Darcie) and Paul (LuAnn);15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond. The funeral service will be Friday, November 10, 2023 at 12:30PM at Smith Funeral Home, DeRuyter. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, DeRuyter. Calling hours will be Friday from 11AM to 12:30 PM at the Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to the DeRuyter Fire Dept.
